Job summary

Washington County Schools SACC program seeks a dedicated child care caregiver to provide safe, educationally enriched care for students attending Washington County Schools.

The role involves supervising children, planning weekly lessons, ensuring safety, and maintaining clear communication with families. Training in First Aid/CPR/AED will be provided after employment clearance, with ongoing development requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check every 5 years.
• First Aid, CPR and AED training (provided on employment clearance).
• Physical (every 3 years).
• 12 hours of state-approved professional development annually.

Responsibilities

• Maintain children's safety.
• Provide a clean and safe environment.
• Supervise and guide children through scheduled activities.
• Implement state rules and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents and children.
• Report suspected child abuse.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans.
• Report equipment hazards and safety concerns to the Site Director.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Director.
• Know and implement safety drill procedures including evacuations.
• Maintain FERPA policies.
