Job summary

St. Andrew Catholic School in Orlando is seeking an After-Care Assistant to provide quality supervision for students in the after-school program.

You will monitor play, assist with check-in/out, support the students’ spiritual, academic and social development, and communicate with staff and parents about any issues. This role requires a compassionate, patient, and flexible individual capable of working with children ages 5 to 14.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with children preferred.
• Patience and positive demeanor essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a school-based after-care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides after-school supervision for students.
• Checks students in and signs them out to approved adults.
• Observes, monitors, and participates in children's play activities.
• Provides supervised outdoor playtime when weather permits to foster a safe environment.
• Supports the student’s spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
