Job summary

Mount Vernon School in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking an After Care Substitute to support Preschool and Lower School students with indoor and outdoor activities and supervision from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This hourly position offers flexible shifts and a chance to work with children in a supportive academic environment.

Responsibilities include creating a safe, engaging environment, supervising students, and assisting with routines and transitions in a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school, after-school or camp setting preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to children's needs.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and engage with children at their level.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Supervise children by sight and sound at all times.
• Facilitate indoor/outdoor activities and play to engage students in the afternoon.
• Hours: M-F 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm.
