Job summary

Monsignor Slade Edu-Care Center in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking part-time staff for its before- and after-school care program. Hours are 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year, with summer hours from 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High School Diploma and 90-hour child care certification required.
• Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.
• Willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Faith and the Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Schools.
• Must meet all requirements established by the MSDE Office of Child Care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and supervise age-appropriate activities for children in the classroom or assigned group.
• Attend staff and parent meetings as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Provide continuous visual and auditory supervision to ensure the safety of children in the classroom, on the playground, and during field trips.
• Maintain appropriate and professional communication with families.
• Participate in required and recommended training programs and workshops, including CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, Emergency Preparedness, Orientation, and Communication.
