Job summary

St Mark School (Venice) is seeking an enthusiastic After-School Care Assistant to join our Homework Club for students from TK through 8th grade. You will check students in and out, monitor behavior, and assist in activities after school, with schedule primarily 2:45-5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 12:15-5:30pm Friday; part-time arrangements may be available.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, a positive Catholic role model, and safeguarding/background

Qualifications

Description

St Mark School (Venice) is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible individual to join our team as an After-School Care Assistant for our “Homework Club” program. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our existing staff to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade who stay after school.

We are looking for a team player with a positive mindset who would check students in and out of HWC, monitor behavior and assist in student activities while the students are in HWC. The ideal candidate is available Monday through Thursdays from 2:45-5:30pm and Fridays from 12:15-5:30pm. St Mark is open to candidates that can do only part of that schedule. College students looking for experience in early child, elementary or middle school education are encouraged to apply. The job is available immediately.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement). College classes preferred.
• Faith Alignment: A practicing Catholic is preferred; must be able to serve as a positive Catholic role model for our students.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, energetic, a positive attitude, and demonstrated flexibility in handling a dynamic school environment.
• Compliance: Must meet all Archdiocese safeguarding and background clearance requirements prior to hiring.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
