After School Assistant/Vacation Camp Teacher

Program Details

J-Space and J-Cation
J-Space is an after school program from 2:30-6 pm offering activities such as STEM, arts, athletics, teambuilding, and Judaism. J-Cation is a full-day camp from 9 am to 4 pm during school breaks, like Winter Break.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director in creating and facilitating engaging curriculum and activities based on monthly themes
  • Provide homework and academic support
  • Escort children to the program
  • Promote a safe, positive environment and supervise students at all times
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance and sign-out sheets
  • Assist with daily snack distribution and material preparation
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of program spaces and materials
Qualifications
  • Experience aligned with the Alliance's core values
  • Background in education, STEM, arts, athletics, teambuilding, or Jewish learning; specialization preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of child development and ability to apply it in activities
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and volunteers
  • Willingness to obtain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
  • High School Diploma or GED; background check and TB clearance required
