5 days ago Requisition ID: 2864

Educational Alliance, a 136-year-old New York institution, is a vibrant, dynamic organization serving New Yorkers from all walks of life. We serve everyone regardless of the language they speak, where they come from, or their socioeconomic status. We believe that everyone should have a chance to live a better life and that arts and culture, education, health and wellness, and social services can help lay that foundation.

The 14Y After School Program engages hands, heads, and hearts for children in K-5th grade attending schools across the East Village. After School is a neurodiverse community, and all staff members are responsible for supporting neurodivergent and neurotypical students to have a successful after school day.

We are seeking a part-time After School Art Teacher who will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging, hands-on visual arts programming for elementary-aged students. The Art Teacher fosters a fun, inclusive, and creative environment where students develop artistic skills, self-expression, confidence, and creativity through a variety of age-appropriate projects and mediums. Our art program encourages instructors to bring their unique artistic perspective and expertise to the classroom. Past classes include traditional studio art, painting and drawing, 3D art and sculpture, crafting, mixed media, and imaginative programs such as Enchanted Engineering that combine art, design, and creative problem-solving. We welcome educators with fresh ideas who are excited to inspire curiosity, creativity, and joyful learning through hands-on experiences.
