Job summary

Lone Oak Intermediate School is seeking an LOI Academic Coach-Assistant Coach to sponsor and support various school extra-curricular programs in Paducah, Kentucky. The role focuses on promoting activities in-school and in the community, while guiding students and ensuring safety and eligibility compliance.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (64 college hours acceptable) and completion of a criminal records check with CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines for school activities.
  • Ability to read and follow rules, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Promote extra-curricular programs in the schools and community.
  • Plan the assigned extra-curricular program.
  • Organize and supervise practices and meetings.
  • Teach individual fundamental skills of the extra-curricular activity.
  • Check eligibility of participants, including insurance coverage and parent consent.
  • Provide students a proper role model, emotional support, patience, a friendly attitude and general guidance.
  • Recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies as appropriate for the health, safety, and welfare of participants.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics
  • Follow all McCracken County Public Schools Policies and Procedures.
