Job summary

Novella Education Group Inc. is seeking an in-person CLASSTIME Academic Support Teacher in Bethpage to assist student-athletes with after-school academic tasks from 4:00–8:00 PM. The role supports grades 5 through high school and may include online coverage and cross-location assignments.

The ideal candidate holds a education degree with teaching certification and brings experience in tutoring, academic intervention, and differentiated instruction. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education; Master's preferred.
• Experience tutoring or academic support is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of K-12 curriculum and differentiated instruction.
• Valid teaching certification/licensure per state guidelines.
• Special educators are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Staff and supervise the CLASSTIME study hall environment.
• Support high school students with homework and academic tasks.
• Help students prioritize assignments and manage workload.
• Monitor grades and progress; provide organizational guidance.
• Develop executive-functioning skills and study habits.
• Collaborate with other CLASSTIME teachers and staff.
• Explain and reinforce Novella Prep’s methodology.
• Support CLASSTIME ONLINE when needed.
