Job summary

Animal Health Care Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our after-hours urgent care team, where calm, organized, compassionate care is essential. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on veterinary experience in a hospital or clinic.
• Experience restraining dogs and cats.
• Ability to collect blood samples and run basic diagnostics.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Calm, dependable, compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with urgent and emergency cases.
• Safely restrain animals for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain blood samples and run in-house tests.
• Assist with treatments, wound care, catheter placement.
• Monitor patients and report changes to the team.
• Support emergency stabilization and critical care as directed.
• Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with radiographs and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and client communication.
• Ensure a clean, organized, safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient patient flow.
