Cumberland Family Medical Center (CFMC) seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to provide overnight telehealth care from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The role focuses on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a diverse patient population within a telehealth-enabled clinic setting.

Applicants should hold an MSN or DNP with Kentucky RN and APRN licenses and Family Nurse Practitioner certification. Three 12-hour shifts weekly are required, with clinic-based care and in-person duties as needed.

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP required with Kentucky RN/APRN licenses and FNP certification.
• Experience using EHR systems in a primary care setting preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a telehealth environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical histories and perform comprehensive exams.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries across the lifespan.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide overnight telehealth services from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered virtual care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment for patients across a variety of clinical needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and excels in a fast-paced, remote care environment.

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and conduct physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, imaging studies).
• Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Counsel patients on preventive health measures, such as vaccinations and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Make referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Stay current with the latest medical advancements and best practices.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Required Experience:

• Experience working with diverse patient populations.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Required Education:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses in the state of Kentucky (or eligibility for licensure)
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Schedule Requirements:

Full-time position, three 12 hour shifts (8 p.m. - 8 a.m.), 100% clinic-based while utilizing Telehealth, in person work required.

Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
