Come join our collaborative, equity-centered team and make magical things happen for children! The Garland School is seeking an after care teacher to work in our Waldorf-inspired, nature-based program starting August 25, 2025. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking an introduction to Waldorf-inspired work with young children, and/or working with children outdoors in all weather. The after care teacher will work alongside a co-teacher and be supervised by the Program Director. This teacher will work with children ages 1 - 6 in a multiage group.
Our teachers are invited to design an environment that speaks to their interests, strengths and vision of early childhood education. The After Care Teacher will support the group and provide after school care with attention to the emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of each child. This teacher will supervise children during after care hours, as well as complete any regularly-scheduled chores that need to happen during that time. When possible, the teacher will engage the children in helping with the meaningful work of chores.
