Job summary

DCS Corporation is seeking an AFSIM Modeling Specialist in the Dayton, OH area to support AFRL initiatives. You will work with software developers, engineers, and data analysts to advance digital engineering initiatives and transition capabilities to Air Force programs.

The role emphasizes system modeling of heterogeneous platforms, AFSIM integration, and DevSecOps practices within real-time simulation environments. Onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Requires US citizenship due to sensitive customer requirements.
• Active Secret DoD clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5 years of experience.
• Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.
• Experience modeling data structures across heterogeneous systems.
• 3+ years of AFSIM experience focused on mission-level modeling.
• Familiarity with military platforms, TTPs, CONOPS and MOS concepts.
• Experience with Scrum framework.
• Git-based version control and merge request workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and customers to support analytic research and MBSE studies.
• Develop and integrate AFSIM components, including plugins and system models.
• Model complex heterogeneous systems (aircraft, missiles, radars, EW, comms).
• Implement DevSecOps practices and cloud-based development in GitLab CI/CD.
• Lead testing of simulation environments and MBSE using automated testing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and backlog grooming.
