Job summary

Henry County Schools seeks a ROTC Instructor (AFJROTC or NJROTC) at the school level to deliver engaging instruction, develop course materials, and assess student performance in line with district guidelines.

The role requires an educator certificate in Georgia or eligibility, strong collaboration with students, parents, staff, and the community, and reliable presence at the assigned campus. The position is exempt and supports 210 or 230 work days per year.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator Certificate or Permit.
• Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and professional reputation.
• Must abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
• Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials to facilitate active learning.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments in line with guidelines.
• Instruct and monitor students and use technology to support differentiation.
• Maintain records of student progress and communicate with parents and district staff.
• Participate in district, school, department, and parent meetings.
• Supervise students and ensure safety during emergencies.
