Job summary

Language Services Associates is seeking Afghani/Dari interpreters in the Louisville, KY area to join a network of Independently Contracted Interpreters. You will facilitate language communication for the LEP community across diverse settings, reporting to assignments as requested.

Ideal candidates are fully fluent in English and Dari, with 1+ year of professional interpreting experience and certifications such as CMI or CCHI preferred.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Afghani/Dari.
• High level of client service.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
• Adhere to clearance requirements as requested by clients
• Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner
• Access to personal or public transport
