Job summary

Language Services Associates in Tucson, AZ is seeking Afghani/Dari interpreters to support LEP communities as independently contracted interpreters. Interpreters will work on-site at a range of settings and must maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Applicants should be fluent in English and Dari, provide excellent client service, and have 1+ year interpreting experience; certifications such as CMI or CCHI are preferred. Transportation to sites is required.

Language Services Associates is looking for Afghani/ Dari interpreters in the Tucson, Arizona area. As a member of LSA's network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. LSA is continuously accepting qualified interpreters for a wide range of interpreting assignments!

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service


• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality


• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices


• Adhere to clearance requirements as requested by clients


• Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner


• Access to personal or public transport

Qualifications/Experience

• Full fluency in both English and Afghani/ Dari


• The ability to provide a high level of client service


• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred
