Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 9am-6pm

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems; painting; and cleaning. All work must adhere to company policies and safety protocols, aiming to meet client expectations within the operating budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Relations: Ensure the community operates in line with owner philosophies and expectations.
  2. General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs, ensure grounds and aesthetics meet standards, assist with inspections, and provide emergency on-call services.
  3. Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant units, assist with painting, and manage appliance changes to ensure timely turnovers.
  4. Equipment and Systems: Maintain community equipment, manage inventory, and ensure safety and organization of maintenance areas.
  5. Inspections: Prepare properties for regulatory inspections like NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, and CALFHA, and collaborate with stakeholders.
  6. Other Duties: Enforce community rules, comply with fair housing laws, maintain professional appearance, and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience in residential property maintenance or related fields.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and be medically cleared to do so.
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Own tools may be required.
