Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.); HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning (sweeping, mopping, yard upkeep). All duties must be performed in accordance with company policies and safety protocols, supporting client expectations within the operating budget and management agreement.

Company Description:

Responsibilities include:

  • Client Relations: Represent owner philosophies and meet client expectations.
  • General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs, perform inspections, repairs, and unit turnovers.
  • Grounds and Aesthetics: Maintain property appearance per policies.
  • On-call Support: Provide emergency services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Equipment and Systems Maintenance: Repair community equipment, maintain inventory, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Inspections: Prepare properties for NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, CALFHA, and other inspections, ensuring compliance.
  • Community Rules: Enforce community regulations fairly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of similar experience; property management, hotel, facilities, or construction experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and meet medical fitness requirements.
  • Proficient in English; basic computer skills; may need to provide tools.
