Affordable Housing Leasing Manager

PeopleReady of Mobile, AL is now hiring Affordable Housing Leasing Managerin Bayou La Batre, AL! The ideal candidate will have apartment leasing experience and working knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC/Section 42) or other affordable housing programs. This position is responsible for leasing apartments, providing outstanding customer service, and ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $20 – $20 / hour*

What you’ll be doing as an Affordable Housing Leasing Manager:

• Welcome prospective residents and conduct property tours
• Respond to leasing inquiries by phone, email, and in person
• Process rental applications and prepare lease agreements
• Verify applicant eligibility and collect required income and asset documentation
• Assist with move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, and resident communications
• Maintain accurate resident files and ensure compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit)/Section 42 requirements and company policies
• Coordinate with the property management team to achieve occupancy goals
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional leasing office environment

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Minimum of 1 year of apartment leasing experience preferred
• Affordable Housing or LIHTC certification required
• Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 42, HUD, or affordable housing compliance required
• Knowledge of income certifications and resident file documentation
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi, OneSite, RealPage, Entrata, or similar property management software is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
