Job summary

Washington County is seeking a Real Estate Development Financial Analyst to advance affordable housing projects in the Hillsboro area. The role serves as the primary finance partner for development, performing budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and financial reporting across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have GAAP and governmental accounting expertise, experience with LIHTC programs, and strong collaboration with staff, funders, and auditors to ensure compliance and timely cost

Qualifications

Strong foundation in GAAP, governmental finance, and accounting.
Ability to analyze project budgets, cash flows, revenues, expenditures, and financing sources.
Experience reviewing construction draws, invoices, loans, contracts, or other detailed financial records for accuracy and compliance.
Ability to interpret funding agreements and LIHTC project requirements.
Comfort with period-end close adjustments and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Provide financial analysis, monitoring, reporting, and accounting support throughout the development lifecycle.
Review construction draws, invoices, development loans, contracts, and funding agreements.
Track project expenditures, revenues, and financing sources; support revenue recognition.
Coordinate with auditors and development for cost certifications and annual audits.
Communicate complex financial requirements clearly to staff, partners, and external auditors.
