Multifamily Property Management

The Assistant Community Director assists the Community Director in managing day-to-day property operations and achieving operational and financial goals. Responsibilities include supervising on-site staff such as Resident Services Coordinators, Compliance Specialists, Leasing Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, and others.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Client Relations: Implement owner philosophies, maintain positive communication with residents, vendors, and guests, and keep supervisors informed.
  2. Employee Management: Operate in the absence of the Community Director, train new leasing staff.
  3. Leasing/Occupancy: Maintain occupancy, execute professional leasing, analyze market surveys, implement marketing strategies, and promote resident retention.
  4. Revenue Management: Assist in maximizing revenue through lease management, rent collections, and timely deposits.
  5. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain resident files, ensure confidentiality, and meet reporting requirements.
  6. Facility Maintenance: Report and monitor maintenance needs, ensure timely completion, and follow up with residents.
  7. Other: Enforce community rules, comply with laws and policies, promote professionalism, and complete required training.

Must have experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, USDA-RD, HCD, HOME, Bonds), at least 1 year in a supervisory role, and proficiency in English and computer skills.
