The St. David'sSchool of Nursing seeks to develop a pool ofcandidates to serve as Affiliate Instructors in our undergraduateprogram.
Affiliate Instructors are appointed to provide supervision ofstudent clinical learning experiences, including but not limited toinstruction of procedures, health assessments, and administrationof medications. Affiliate Instructors may only perform supervision when a qualified and experienced faculty member is physicallypresent. Supervision of clinical learning experiences must follow appropriate professional regulatory board rules and regulations.
Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on asemester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for reappointment iscontingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations duringthe term period, in addition to continuity of funding anddepartmental/school/program needs.
