Columbine Elementary in Colorado is seeking a Paraprofessional (Affective Needs Program) to assist classroom teachers with students throughout the day and support instructional goals.

This full-time position offers 37.5 hours weekly, with a salary range of $16.89–$25.60 per hour, plus benefits. The role emphasizes supporting students with diverse needs and helping maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of relevant coursework or passing exam as required by policy.
• Experience with special needs students desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups.
• Assist in administration and correction of assessments.
• Provide classroom prep and materials reinforcement as needed.
• Assist with behavior management to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Supervise non-instructional areas and assist during field trips.
• Foster parent involvement and communication with families.
