Job summary

AFB International is seeking a dependable Sanitation Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary manufacturing environment in our Missouri plant. You will perform cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, document activities, and ensure GMP and food safety standards are followed to protect product quality.

Experienced professionals and entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year sanitation experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment and facility areas.
• Follow GMPs and sanitation standards to prevent contamination and ensure product safety.
• Record cleaning activities, chemical concentrations, test results, and any follow-up cleaning needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments to sanitize equipment during downtime and return to operation.
• Identify and report potential food safety concerns and take appropriate action.

What You'll Do

• Keep It Clean: Clean and sanitize production equipment and facility areas according to established procedures and schedules.
• Protect Food Safety: Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation standards to help prevent contamination and ensure product safety.
• Document Your Work: Record cleaning activities, chemical concentrations, test results, and any follow-up cleaning needed.
• Work Safely: Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain Your Equipment: Keep tools, supplies, and storage areas clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Work as a Team: Coordinate with Production and other departments to make the most of scheduled downtime and ensure equipment is properly sanitized before returning to operation.
• Make a Difference: Identify and report potential food safety concerns and take appropriate action to help prevent issues.
