Job summary

Dermatology & Advanced Skin Care in the Columbia area is seeking a qualified Medical Aesthetician to join our growing practice. You will perform facial and body procedures and guide patients on skincare plans for optimal results.

The role requires Maryland licensure, 1+ year of experience, and a commitment to hygiene and accurate charting. Mondays–Fridays 7:30am–5:30pm in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in person and on the phone.
• Friendly, professional and well organized with attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable in different skin care treatments and products.

Responsibilities

• Perform facial and body procedures to improve appearance and skin health.
• Consult with patients and recommend skincare products.
• Follow up with patients post-treatment to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
• Educate patients on skin care and home care regimens.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and hygienic work area.
• Ensure accurate documentation in patient charts per office protocols.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Maryland license

Certified from Accredited Aesthetic School

1+ year Medical Aesthetician experience

Excellent communication skills

Friendly, professional and well organized

Knowledgeable in skin care treatments and products

Job Description

Perform a variety of facial and body procedures intended to increase, improve or maintain the appearance and health of human skin. These are including but not limited to the following: Facials, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Hydrafacials, Diamond Glow treatments.

• Performing consultations and recommend skin care products.
• Follow up with patients post-treatment to ensure expectations are met and/or exceeded.
• Having knowledge of cosmetic procedures performed in office and make appropriate referrals to our providers.
• Educating patients on skin care and offering custom treatment plans for their individual needs both in the office and a home care regimen as well.
• Maintaining a clean, neat and hygienic work area.
• Ensure accurate documentation in chart according to office protocols

Job Type:

• Full-time: Must be available to work Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:30am – 5:30pm

Experience:

• 1+ yearof Medical Aesthetician experience (Required)

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Certifications/Licenses:

• Must be licensed in Maryland
• Must be Certified from an Accredited Aesthetic School
