Job summary

Gauss Management Research & Engineering (GMRE Inc.) is seeking an Apprentice Production Technician focused on wiring harnesses and modification kits. This entry-level training position works under a qualified technician to learn fabrication, assembly, and quality requirements in GMRE's production center.

You will review drawings and wire lists, perform basic wire-prep, secure assemblies, and assist with connectors and terminations after proper training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No aerospace experience required; demonstrated aptitude to learn preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Basic math, measurement, and record-keeping skills.
• Teamwork and ability to ask questions and seek guidance.
• Attention to safety, quality, and proper use of tools.
• Must have reliable transportation to the facility.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and process instructions with a trainer.
• Perform basic wire-prep after training.
• Assemble modification-kit contents from controlled materials.
• Verify part numbers and report shortages, damage, or discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow safety, quality, and tool-control requirements.
