Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Mid-Level Wiring Design and Installation Engineer (Level 3) to develop and maintain wiring and electrical harness installation designs for commercial aircraft. You will define wire routing layouts with attention to safety, quality, and manufacturability, collaborating with factory teams to resolve discrepancies.

Basic qualifications include a BS in engineering and 4+ years of related design experience.

Qualifications

BS degree in engineering or related field.
4+ years of experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., cable routing and geometry, brackets).
Define physical routing layout of wire routing throughout the airplane with proper supports, separation, and safety considerations.
Develop and analyze engineering design disposition on discrepancies with factory collaboration for efficient builds.
Follow and improve documented processes supporting safe and quality design and manufacture of electrical commodities; develop basic statements of work.
Participate in supplier capability reviews to facilitate source selection and ensure integrated designs.
Work under supervision of a lead engineer and mentor to grow technically.
Focus on 787 seats and interiors.
