Job summary

Niacc-Avitech Technologies, an FAA Part 145 repair facility, seeks an Engineer – Repair Development / Wire Harness to bridge engineering and shop teams in Clovis, CA. This dual-focus role blends 60% engineering development with 40% hands‑on repair work on wiring harnesses and electrical components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent technical education with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with electrical wire harnesses, wiring systems, or aerospace electrical components
• Proficiency reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Research technical requirements from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals, specifications, and regulatory standards
• Analyze technical data and translate it into actionable work instructions for repair technicians
• Interpret wiring schematics and engineering specifications; identify repair or manufacturing solutions
• Develop, test, and refine repair procedures, technical documentation, and drawings
• Create documentation and drawings translating repair solutions into shop-floor reality
• Investigate challenges with Production, Quality, and other departments; propose improvements
• Troubleshoot, fabricate, repair, and test wiring harnesses and electrical components
• Apply wire-harness design principles to develop practical repair solutions
• Validate new repair processes and work instructions on the shop floor
• Manage multiple engineering projects and priorities to meet deadlines
