Job summary

BestLogic Staffing is seeking an experienced Weld Engineer for an on-site role in Windsor Locks, CT. The position focuses on restarting legacy heat exchanger manufacturing, welding, brazing, and related processes while ensuring aerospace quality standards are met.

The candidate should have strong hands-on manufacturing engineering experience, solid GD&T and drawing interpretation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional efforts toward process improvements and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Strong experience with welding and brazing processes, especially aluminum and steel.
• Heat exchanger manufacturing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality requirements.
• Strong GD&T and blueprint interpretation skills.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Support restart and manufacturing of legacy heat exchanger products.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes with shop-floor teams.
• Create and maintain work instructions and assembly documentation.
• Develop welding process specifications and qualifications.
• Investigate welding issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare data analyses and presentations on productivity improvements.
• Communicate technical information across cross-functional teams.
