Firefly Aerospace, Inc. in Briggs, Texas is seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer III to drive the integration of launch vehicles through assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure seamless integration and flight readiness. The role requires a Bachelor's in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in aerospace vehicle integration, hands-on hardware experience, CAD familiarity, and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace vehicle integration or related engineering fields.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems integration for aerospace applications.
• Experience with system-level testing and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CAD software and engineering tools for integration analysis.
• Hands-on experience working with aerospace hardware and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in a hands-on, high-energy environment, including cleanroom and manufacturing areas.
• Willingness to support off-shift work, extended hours, or travel as required for integration and testing.
• Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft integration.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NASA, FAA, DoD, AS9100).
• Experience with DFMA principles.
• Knowledge of propulsion system integration and fluid system handling.
• Experience with PLM and ERP tools for integration tracking and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support vehicle integration activities across structural, mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems.
• Develop and execute integration plans, procedures, and timelines for vehicle assembly and testing.
• Coordinate with design and manufacturing to ensure proper hardware integration.
• Provide hands-on support for integration with technicians and engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to meet schedules.
• Document procedures, lessons learned, and process improvements.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
• Support environmental and functional tests on integrated aerospace vehicles.
