Job summary

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions seeks a Validation Engineer - Product Definition to develop and validate 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for aerospace structures and engine components. You will lead Model-Based Definition efforts, create BOMs in Teamcenter, and ensure ASME GD&T standards are met.

You will work with Mechanical Design Engineers on digital product definitions and tolerance analyses, supporting manufacturing and supplier validation in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 7-8 years of Product Definition, CAD Design, or Mechanical Drafting experience.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Catia V5, 3DExperience, or Siemens NX to model parts, assemblies, and perform clash analysis.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and interpreting 2D drawings, parts lists, and BOMs.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.41 Model-Based Definition and DP(D)
• Experience with machining, sheet metal forming, welding, and tooling design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models using Siemens NX.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and Model-Based Definitions (MBD).
• Produce solid models for parts, housings, and engine components.
• Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) in Teamcenter.
• Perform tolerance stack-up and geometric studies for manufacturability.
• Interpret engineering requirements and design intent.
• Review drawings for completeness and ASME Y14.5 compliance.
• Participate in design reviews as the Product Definition representative.
• Support engineering changes and documentation updates.
• Revise drawings to resolve discrepancies and implement changes.
• Validate supplier CAD models against requirements.
• Resolve inquiries on drawing interpretation and 3D modeling practices.
• Assist manufacturing, quality, and supply chain during development.
