Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking a Technician to perform in-house Aerospace UT NDT work. The role involves setting up UT equipment, conducting tests, interpreting results, and mentoring Level I personnel.

Training will start on 1st shift and then shift to 3rd, with a pay range of $28 to $35 per hour. Requirements include a high school diploma and specialized UT NDT training meeting SNT-TC1A/NAS-410, plus Level II certification or progress towards it.

Qualifications

• Must be NDT UT certified per SNT-TC1A and NAS-410.
• Graduate of a specialized NDT program meeting SNT-TC1A/NAS-410 in UT.
• Prior NDE Level II certification with 1 year experience or Level I with hours to become Level II under SNT-TC1A/NAS-410.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate UT equipment for aerospace inspections.
• Conduct UT tests and document inspection results.
• Interpret findings and supervise trainees as Level I/II capable.
• Follow applicable codes, standards, and contractual documents.
• Work with minimal supervision and resolve issues promptly.
• Identify information gaps and present numerical data effectively.
• Training will begin on 1st shift, then move to 3rd shift.
