Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking an Upholstery Tech II in Savannah, GA to fabricate and install aircraft interiors per design drawings, using fabric, vinyl and leather hides with sewing equipment and power tools. You will work on flat panels, curtains and headliners under supervision on first shift.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years' experience with commercial sewing machines and upholstery tools; aerospace experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or hand tools in upholstery and carpet trades.
• Aerospace industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install upholstery and cover panels per drawings and aircraft specifications.
• Work with fabric, vinyl and leather hides, composites and other materials using adhesives, sewing equipment and power tools.
• Cut and surge carpets; install panels, head liners and cabin components.
• Use material tracking system to create parts demand and sign-off work.
