Y99000 General Electric Company offers an opportunity for active Military personnel through the SkillBridge program, allowing them to gain valuable civilian work experience and industry-specific training before separating from service. The program enables Service members to work full-time with GE Aerospace, focusing on manufacturing and fabrication.

Candidates must have a High School diploma or higher and can expect to gain critical skills in precision work related to aerospace manufacturing while maintaining military compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Military personnel on their last 180 days before separating from Military Service.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical engineering.
• Technical certification preferred in aerospace or mechanical fields.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate manufacturing/fabrication-related tools and equipment.
• Conduct mechanical and visual inspections of products.
• Manage quality-related nonconforming products and materials.
• Participate in cross-training initiatives and promote teamwork.
• Perform maintenance and continuous improvement tasks.

Connaissances

Technical certification in relevant field

Set up and maintain manufacturing tools

Perform mathematical calculations

Interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

Excellent communication skills
