Aerospace Transparencies Facilities Engineer

Huntsville, AL

A dedicated and driven Facilities Engineer is needed to support our two manufacturing facilities in Huntsville, AL. The role involves overseeing upkeep, improvements, and the coordination of multiple simultaneous projects. The position is on‑site at the Huntsville facility and reports to the Strategic Planning Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the facility status from basement to roof, including air handling units, water systems, air and vacuum systems, and more.
• Maintain facility operations and ensure vital support equipment functions properly.
• Support EHS programs such as life‑critical rules throughout the facility.
• Manage all maintenance contracts with vendors, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
• Coordinate with production and other stakeholders regarding project scheduling and fulfillment.
• Collaborate with maintenance to accomplish tasks.
• Suggest areas for improving facilities operations with a focus on energy savings and equipment uptime.
• Manage budget for facility projects and spending for the facilities department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of work or project experience related to the upkeep of a factory/facility preferred.
• Prior leadership experience helpful, but not required.
• Must be willing to travel regularly between the two Huntsville facilities, approximately 20 minutes apart.
• Some weekend or evening work may be required to troubleshoot issues.
