Job summary

Atlas is seeking an experienced Tooling Verification and Metrology Specialist to lead end-to-end verification of aerospace tooling. You will review engineering drawings, validate jigs and fixtures for production, and maintain precise inspection records.

Collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality is essential to ensure safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The role requires hands-on metrology with Romer Arms, Leica Trackers, and FARO arms, plus proficiency with SA, PolyWorks,

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on experience with aerospace tooling design, fabrication, and inspection.
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Proficient with coordinate measuring systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y14 standards.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Verify tooling design intent by reviewing drawings and 3D models.
• Validate jigs, fixtures, and handling equipment for release into production.
• Operate metrology equipment and create inspection plans.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality for DFM assessments.
• Prepare inspection summaries, reports, and SOPs.
• Maintain tooling documentation and records for audits.
• Identify risks and support corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in tooling inspection processes.
• Coordinate inspections and manage tooling builds from concept to validation.
