Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Tooling Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team at Arsenal-1 in Ashville, Ohio. You will design, develop, and maintain tooling for large-scale sub-assembly production, translating engineering requirements into precise tools for safe and repeatable build of flight-critical hardware.

Collaborating with design and production teams, you will ensure the line has the right tools to hit rate, maintain quality, and support ramping production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tooling design and development for aerospace/defense manufacturing.
• Experience with aircraft assembly tooling preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D drafting for tooling drawings.
• Familiarity with AS9100/Welding standards and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop assembly tooling, fixtures, jigs, drill guides, and handling equipment for aircraft sub-assembly operations.
• Perform tolerance analysis and GD&T stack-ups to ensure tooling meets accuracy requirements.
• Create detailed tooling drawings, specs, and BOMs for fabrication or procurement.
• Support first article tooling prove-out on the production floor and iterate designs based on feedback.
• Develop and maintain tooling maintenance schedules, calibration, and inspection procedures.
