Job summary

RTCA is a precision aerospace and defense manufacturer with over 50 years of experience. An Aerospace Assembly Technician will join our Sumner/Fife, WA onsite team to assemble precision aerospace components, develop tooling, and support prototype and production builds.

You will read blueprints, fabricate tooling, and work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes, quality, and efficiency, ensuring compliance with drawings and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience performing mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, tooling drawings, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, drill presses, grinders, torque wrenches, and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to fabricate, fit, and assemble tooling and production components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aerospace components following engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Build, modify, repair, and maintain tooling, fixtures, jigs, templates, gauges, and work holding devices.
• Troubleshoot tooling and assembly issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
