PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Tool Maker in Chandler, AZ to design, build, repair, and maintain precision tooling used in aerospace manufacturing. The role focuses on tooling fabrication, alignment, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of tool making experience, strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement skills, and a proven ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification or Associate degree in Tooling, Machining, or Manufacturing Technology.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, repair, and modify dies, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and precision tooling.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and complex dimensions to meet exact tolerances.
• Troubleshoot worn or damaged tooling and perform rework, sharpening, and fitting.
• Support both scheduled and urgent tooling repairs to minimize downtime.
• Operate manual toolroom equipment including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Use precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and comparators.
• Apply GD&T, shop math, geometry, and trigonometry in tooling fabrication.
• Ensure tooling meets all specifications for fit, finish, and function.
