Job summary

A leading aerospace company in East Hartford, CT is looking for a Tool Design Engineer to develop and present repair tool designs for Military Engine programs. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience or 3+ years with an Advanced degree. U.S. citizenship is required, and the role involves onsite work with approximately 10% travel. The salary range is $86,800 - $165,200, with various additional benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience or 3+ years with an Advanced degree.
• Familiarity with repair manufacturing processes including welding and coating processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts for new repair tool designs for Military Engine programs.
• Present tool concepts to USAF for approval.
• Complete the PW Tool Design Review process.
• Coordinate with suppliers and perform final checks of tooling.
• Develop tool usage instructions for end users.

Skills

Technical writing skills

Ability to read and interpret engineering part prints

Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

Experience with machining and grinding

Familiarity with tooling materials

Education

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
