Job summary

Advanced Integration Technology is seeking a tool assembler to support the day-to-day operations of the Assembly department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role reads blueprints, assembles components with hand and power tools, inspects finished parts, and adheres to safety protocols. Evening/night shifts with a $2/hr premium are offered, plus medical benefits and growth opportunities. This position may require a government security clearance.

Summary

The tool assembler is responsible for the day to day operation of the Assembly department by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities below.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow advanced job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures.
• Lifts, loads, sorts, and moves materials, supplies, and finished products between storage and work areas, using push-cart, hoist, or dolly.
• Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications
• Operate equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies with hand tools, power tools, or bench machines.
• Inspects, tests, and verifies accuracy of assembled article for conformance to standards, using measuring or testing equipment, or by visual examination. Informs supervisors of any parts or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
• Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective product parts, using hand tools, power tools, or bench machines.
• Cleans dust, dirt, and other foreign matter from material or machine surfaces, using cleaning solution, rag, and air hose.
• Measures and marks reference lines and points on parts according to specifications, using template, rule, or marking device.
• Cuts materials, such as fabric, metal, paper, or wood into specified dimensions or shapes, using cutting machine, scissors, or knife.
• Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to ensure maximum alertness and preparation
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements

• This position may require a government security clearance.
