Job summary

Advanced Integration Technology is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate and set up mills and lathes to produce parts for aerospace, defense, and space programs. You will follow blueprints, set up toolings and validate CNC programs for high precision work.

You must read drawings, measure with calipers/micrometers and maintain strict tolerances while collaborating with CNC programmers. Some physical work and safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to complete work.
• Sets up and operates CNC mills and performs machining on close tolerances.
• Ensures product quality to meet customer specifications.
• Collaborates with CNC Programmers to validate tool setups and programs for 3/5 axis machines.
• Obtains tooling, drawings and special instructions as needed.
• Operates CNC programs and mills while following established setups.
• Detects and reports faults in operation or materials to the Machinist Leader.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary

The CNC Machinists are responsible for the usage of various mills and lathes to manufacture a variety of different parts/tools to meet production schedule needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize measuring equipment used in the industry such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge and other measuring equipment needed to complete work.
• Sets up and operates all available machine tools and performs progressive machining operations on work involving very close tolerances or unusual requirements. Changes cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed.
• Ensures product quality to meet and customer specifications.
• Works in conjunction with the CNC Programmers to establish CNC tool setups and validate CNC programs for use on 3 and/or 5 axis CNC machines.
• Obtains all necessary tooling, correct drawings and any special instructions.
• Sets up and understands the CNC program and operate CNC mills.
• Detects and reports faulty machine operation, defective material and equipment, drawing discrepancies, and other unusual conditions to the CNC Machinist Leader.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of related experience and/or training.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements

• This position may require a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
