Job summary

CPP Corporation in Albany, OR is seeking a Metal Finisher to remove imperfections on titanium castings for aerospace applications. The role involves grinding, measuring with calipers and UT tools, and ensuring dimensional accuracy while maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

The position requires following blueprints and tech cards, collaborating with the dimensional department, and training other Finisher I personnel.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED or equivalent with relevant experience
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background checks and drug screening
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions

Responsibilities

• Operate a pneumatic hand grinder to remove imperfections and grind into position
• Inspect work using measuring tools to ensure requirements
• Operate belt grinding machine to surface grind and blend welds
• Measure parts and inspect castings for defects
• Maintain clean and safe workstation
• Assist in training Finisher I personnel
• Adhere to paperwork requirements with castings
