Job summary

Safran Seats USA is hiring a TIG welder to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Gainesville, TX. You will weld aluminum and stainless steel, interpret blueprints, and ensure part integrity on complex assemblies.

You should have 1–3 years of welding experience, a formal welding training, and the ability to obtain MVP certification; ambitious teammates encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of related welding experience required.
• Completion of formal welding training program is a plus.
• Highly skilled in TIG welding and precision measuring instruments.
• Must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and tolerances.
• Must obtain/maintain required certifications, MVP certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding operations on aluminum, stainless steel, and aerospace-grade metals on complex welds.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, weld symbols, and route sheets.
• Set up and use fixtures accurately to ensure quality welds and part integrity.
• Apply proper welding rod selection using established color code systems.
• Follow WPS standards and qualify for MVP and Operator Certifications.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and scales to inspect and verify parts.
• Rework and repair welded parts to required specifications.
• Follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and standard shop practices.
• Document work performed and ensure traceability of parts and welds.
• Maintain a clean, organized welding area following 5s standards.
