Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a TIG Welder (Starship Electronics) to perform precision TIG welding on flight hardware, including stainless aerospace alloys. You will set up equipment, read weld symbols, and document welds while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 1+ years TIG welding experience or a welding certificate, with preferred aerospace/pressure vessel background and dual-process capability (MIG) as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years TIG welding experience (aerospace/pressure vessel/structural preferred) or welding program certificate.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols and work instructions.
• Experience TIG welding stainless steel and similar alloys.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on Starship stainless and aerospace alloys per drawings, WPS, and instructions.
• Set up TIG equipment (tungsten, gas, amperage, AC/DC/pulse as required).
• Inspect welds visually and dimensionally; maintain traceability.
• Occasionally support MIG welding for fit-up or production needs.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams.
