Job summary
Chromalloy is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to run specialized thermal spray equipment and apply protective coatings to jet engine components. You will perform coating, masking, surface preparation, inspection, and documentation to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
The role requires reading blueprints, programming CNC equipment or robotics, strong shop math, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specs.
- Experience operating CNC equipment or production robots.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate, program, and maintain specialized thermal spray equipment.
- Apply thermally deposited coatings to jet engine components.
- Perform part changeovers and follow product specifications.
- Prepare components through masking and surface preparation.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on coating equipment.
- Inspect and certify your own work using measuring tools.
- Complete required quality documentation and production records.
- Follow safety rules, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
- Support 5S, CPEX, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
