Job summary

Stoke Space in Moses Lake is hiring a Test Technician to build and maintain test stands for our Nova reusable launch vehicle. You will fabricate parts, weld stainless steel tubing, and work with engineers on testing operations at the Moses Lake site.

The role requires 3+ years TIG welding, 2+ years machining, and comfort with outdoor work. You’ll operate power tools, read blueprints, and assist in troubleshooting and maintenance. ITAR and safety protocols apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years TIG welding with stainless steel alloys, aluminum.
• 2+ years manual machining experience.
• Experience with pipe welding and orbital tube welding.
• Able to read and interpret schematics/drawings.
• Fabricate parts with no drawings when needed.
• Familiar with aerospace fluid connections (37° flare, ANSI flanges).

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld standard and custom parts.
• Bend, proof, and clean stainless steel tubing systems.
• Safely operate power tools, saws, and heavy equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers for test stand maintenance and operations.
• Support troubleshooting efforts.
• Work safely around hazardous chemicals and high-pressure systems.
• Operate forklift, telehandler, and man lift.
• Spend about 50% of time welding; rest on test/build tasks.
• Handle shipping, receiving, and admin tasks as part of a small team.
