Job summary

EOTECH in Clarksville, TN seeks a hands-on Test Technician to support design, assembly, testing, and maintenance of aerospace and defense systems. You will work with engineers to build, troubleshoot, and validate complex electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical subsystems used in avionics, radar, communication, and control systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong soldering and test equipment skills, and the ability to follow MIL-STD-810/DO-160 testing standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics tech or related field; or equivalent military/technical training.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician in aerospace/defense/electronics.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong understanding of digital and analog circuits, embedded systems, and electromechanical components.
• Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must pass background check and employment verification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly, integration, and testing of embedded and electronic systems.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
• Support prototype builds, wiring harness fabrication, soldering, and PCB assembly.
• Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on electronic and electromechanical subsystems.
• Document test procedures, results, and configuration changes per QA and CM processes.
• Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability, assembly methods, and test performance.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and system-level testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and cleanroom standards where applicable.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, calibration schedules, and equipment readiness.
