As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for fabricating, inspecting, and testing avionics assemblies for various spaceflight systems. This role will directly influence the progress of space exploration and requires your dedicated commitment and meticulous attention to safety and repeatability.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with the transition from development to production, including qualification schedules and first articles.
  2. Responsible for fabricating and repairing various cable harnesses, including signal, RF, fiber optic, high data rate, and power cables, as well as potting processes.
  3. Perform verifications and inspections of engineering models, drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  4. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions through modification, rework, repair, or maintenance.
  5. Support vehicle/launch operations by installing open-ended harnesses in the field.
  6. Perform mating/de-mating, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly, and testing of harnesses and subsystems.
  7. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
  8. Work effectively in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  9. Adhere to ESD and safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, especially in aerospace programs or production lines, with leadership and hands-on roles; aerospace experience is a plus.
  • Experience with harsh environment cable harness assemblies.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools like LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Experience in aerospace avionics or related fields.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
  • Basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work cooperatively across diverse teams and locations.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of avionics manufacturing.
  • Experience with operating test equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards like IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001, ANSI/ESD S20.20.
  • Manual dexterity with hand tools.
  • Ability to set up test systems per ATPs and QTPs.
  • Experience resolving operational issues during testing.
  • Math skills for dimensional measurements.
  • Experience handling aerospace components.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments.
Physical Requirements:
  • Climb ladders, work in small spaces.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Pass a vision test (corrected to 20/20, not color blind).
  • Work various shifts and overtime as needed.
