Job summary

EnCore, a Boeing subsidiary, is seeking a motivated Technical Sales Engineer to bridge customer needs with product capabilities. You will support pre-sales activities, deliver product demonstrations, develop proposals, and hand off to engineering for deployment.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and collaboration across technical and commercial teams to win new business and ensure customer success.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in a technical sales, field application engineering, solutions engineering, or systems engineering role (5+ years preferred).
• Demonstrated experience presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead in pre-sales engagements: qualify requirements, develop solution architecture, and present technical proposals.
• Conduct product demonstrations, POC trials, and technical workshops for prospective customers.
• Collaborate with Business Development Managers to develop quotes, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and prepare technical sections of proposals.
• Translate customer requirements to engineering and product teams; provide feedback.
• Support sales negotiations by explaining technical trade-offs, total cost of ownership, and ROI.
• Provide accurate technical documentation, configuration best practices, and deployment guides.
• Support sales team with track and report on potential sales pipeline activities and forecast opportunities from technical point of view.
• Participate in industry events, webinars, and customer visits to promote solutions and gather market intelligence.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor products, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Keeps informed of industry and market trends and requirements in order to provide input into new product innovations and anticipated customer demands
• Works with product engineers and sales team to build and analyze cost price for new and special products to maximize volume and profitability
• Travel to customer and supplier facilities to secure opportunities and coordinate project details.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
